Yes. That is one of the primary reasons couples choose Pier One. The pier ceremony happens on the wharf over the water, and the reception is in the Water Room, Bridge Marquee or Dawes Point Rooms — all within walking distance of each other on the same property. No transfers, no split venue logistics.
Cocktail catering starts from $120 per person and seated dining from $140 per person. Each space carries a minimum spend that varies by day, season and configuration, and there are separate venue hire fees. The team provides a detailed quote in writing for your specific date, numbers and format after an initial site inspection.
The Water Room holds up to 160 seated or 350 for a standing cocktail reception and is the largest single space. The Bridge Room and Marquee suits up to 100 seated or 150 cocktail. The Dawes Point Rooms are flexible and can seat up to 140 or hold 200 standing. The events team will recommend the right configuration once they know your numbers and format.
The standard minimum for a weekend reception is 50 guests. For micro weddings of 12 to 52 guests the team has a separate format built around the smaller spaces, including options for the Dawes Point Rooms and a private dining configuration. Tell the team your numbers and they will suggest what works.
The in-house coordinator is responsible for the run sheet, venue setup, supplier liaison, timeline management and any changes that happen on the day. They are present throughout and you do not need to manage anything. For couples who want external styling or planning support, the coordinator works alongside any external planner you bring in.
Saturday dates in the October to April peak season book six to eighteen months ahead and sometimes further. Sunday and weekday dates are more available at shorter notice. If you have a date in mind, the fastest way to confirm availability is to request a site inspection — the team can check your date immediately during the tour.
Yes. Pier One has 189 rooms and suites, most with harbour or Walsh Bay views. Event guests receive preferential accommodation rates and couples typically receive a complimentary room on the wedding night as part of the minimum spend package. Guests can walk from the reception directly to their rooms, which means no one needs to leave early and no one is driving.
Yes. The events team has experience coordinating ceremonies and celebrations across a wide range of cultural traditions. The spaces are available for multiple days for couples who want a separate pre-wedding event, a day-after brunch or an extended celebration. Speak to the coordinator about your specific requirements and they will put together a proposal.
