IN-ROOM AMENITIES

Luxurious and sustainable room amenities for an elevated guest experience

With our recent renovation of all 189 rooms, we decided it was time for our mini-bar to also receive its own upgrade. As Sydney’s premier lifestyle hotel and loving all things Australian; we are proud to have collaborated with Australian founded companies who are using their brands to make an impact on our planet, to create our mini-room experience so our guests can enjoy a taste of Australia while staying at Pier One Sydney Harbour.

Hunter Lab – Melbourne

Our new bathroom amenities from Hunter Lab are made from recyclable PET plastic, and secondary cartons are both recyclable and biodegradable. The formulas are all-natural and features EcoPure®, an organic additive that causes plastic to biodegrade through a series of chemical and biological processes when disposed of in a microbe-rich environment such as a landfill. It allows the plastic to be consumed by the microbes present. A solution to assist in minimizing our impact on the environment.

Ettitude – Melbourne

Our mini-bar features your own Pier One X Ettitude sleeping eye mask, allowing you to sleep at ease. Ettitude’s CleanBamboo™ is a game changer. Crafted with lyocell made from 100% organic bamboo, this comfy and eco-friendly fabric is full of natural benefits. It’s softer, more cooling and cleaner than cotton, while needing less water to grow and produce. Ettitude is a proud member of the 1% For The Planet global network. Donating 1% of the revenue from their organic bamboo lyocell bedding products to support environmental non-profit organizations.

TigerBuck – Melbourne

Another addition to our mini-bar, Tiger Buck Beef Jerky uses only quality Australian Beef that’s never been frozen. There’s no filler, no MSG, no artificial anything. It’s simply sliced raw, soaked in their signature marinade, and then air-dried to perfection.  It’s also low in fat, a great source of protein, and is even gluten free. The Tiger Buck packaging is made from responsibly forested card-stock, and it’s been printed using vegetable-based inks that are less harmful to our environment.

HeyTiger – Melbourne

For those craving a sweet hit, our new mini-bar chocolates from Hey Tiger are owned by a charitable trust and is partnered with The Hunger Project to fund their work with cocoa farming communities in Ghana, West Africa. Their CEO, Cyan Ta’eed, does not take a salary and the company donates a minimum of 50c per full size bar and 25c per mini bar to The Hunger Project Ghana to fund their incredible work and support cocoa farming communities and an end to child labour.
