Mardi Gras is two weeks packed full of culture, entertainment and social events including two of the most famous parties in the world and of course the jewel in the crown – the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. It all takes place in Australia’s beautiful harbour city, fringed by beaches, gay-friendly, cosmopolitan and tropical.
The 2013 Mardi Gras has launched its program of over 80 events running over two weeks leading up to the world famous Parade on March 2nd, with stars like Lily Tomlin, Armistead Maupin and Peter Tatchell as well as parties at the Ivy, Luna Park, Sydney Tower, Bondi Beach and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Mardi Gras Parade has grown to become a major cultural event and its appeal stretches well beyond Sydney’s gay community and its close supporters.
